2018: Juniors Run the Show

Franklin Polo Academy’s third year was focused on growing the sport in younger generations. With the junior polo lessons growing in size, we have started an interscholastic team with local high school students who have the chance to travel around the country and compete against the best junior players in the United States. We hosted a junior match at the farm for the beginner players and their ADORABLE ponies.

2017: A Successful Second Year

Franklin Polo Academy's second operating year turned out to be one for the books! We gained a great interest in the sport of polo; whether as a student/player, an observer, or a supportive sponsor, we definitely feel like the word got out about FPA! Our first Intro Clinic was sold out in ten days maxing out at fifteen participants. We started off with USA vs. Mexico in June, Tennessee vs. Florida in July, USA vs. South Africa (unfortunately cancelled due to rain) in early October, and ended the year with the much anticipated Second Annual Poloween! A huge thanks to everyone who came out to the matches, participated in a lesson, spread the word, or simply sharing our FB posts, we love you all and hope to see you in 2018!

Sunday Polo in the Park Series & Poloween!

We kicked off October with the help of our Predators friends on the first Sunday of the month. Complete with color commentary by Stu Grimson while Nashville took on Louisville, GNASH pumping up the crowd, and the anthem sung by Predator's official National Anthem singer, Dennis Morgan.

South Africa beat USA in the rematch from the rain out game earlier in the Summer, we had local Nashville All-Stars compete in a close, exciting match, and we ended the Series with an interscholastic game against University of Kentucky. There was even an exhibition chukker played by some of our current local high school students!

Poloween was a spooky, fun success! The sponsored trick-or-treat booths were a big hit with the kids, most came in great costume , and the players played as Superheroes and Villains. October turned out to be one busy, but fun, month!

2016 Summer Arena Polo was a Success!

As we prepare for our October series of Sunday Polo in the Park, we just wanted to recap on Franklin Polo Academy's first season of matches. Our premier polo game on June 3rd barely got underway when a huge storm came rolling though, putting a halt to that day's event. However, USA and South Africa will have a rematch during the October Series!

Our other matches continually became more popular and we had such a great time bringing the exciting sport of polo to the public. Tennessee took on Kentucky, and USA battled against Mexico for some thrilling, close games.

We want to greatly thank our sponsors who help us grow this sport that we love, everyone who came out to watch our arena games, and to all the people who make these fun events happen. We hope to see you in October for our Sunday Polo in the Park Series!
